About the role
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
Washing, sanitizing, and organizing dishes, cutlery, glassware, and cooking utensils used during food preparation and service. Ensuring that all items are cleaned and ready for use by the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Regularly cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen surfaces, including countertops, food preparation areas, stovetops, ovens, and refrigerators. Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment is crucial to meet health and safety standards.
Properly disposing of kitchen waste, recycling materials, and ensuring waste bins are emptied and cleaned regularly to prevent unpleasant odours and maintain a clean workspace.
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen appliances, such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers, to ensure they function properly and remain in good condition.
Complying with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and following sanitation protocols to prevent accidents or contamination.
Cooperating with other kitchen staff and working as part of a team to ensure efficient operations during busy periods and to maintain a harmonious working environment.
Ensuring personal hygiene standards are met, including wearing appropriate uniforms and maintaining a neat appearance
