We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead the culinary team at our prestigious Coach House Brasserie. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences and maintaining high standards of food quality. Reporting directly to the Executive Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative and delicious menus while leading and inspiring a team of talented culinary professionals.

About the role

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary Leadership

  • Develop and execute creative menus, showcasing a fusion of traditional and contemporary brasserie-style cuisine.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of current food trends and customer preferences to create a diverse and enticing menu selection.

  • Ensure all dishes are prepared with attention to detail, quality, taste, and presentation, maintaining the highest standards.

  • Continuously refine recipes, techniques, and processes to enhance the overall dining experience.

Kitchen Operations

  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  • Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.

  • Implement and maintain proper food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with local health regulations.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef to develop and update standard operating procedures, ensuring consistency and quality

  • Lead, train, and inspire a team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for skills development.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, creativity, and excellence, motivating the team to deliver outstanding culinary experiences.

  • Work closely with the Executive Head Chef to recruit and onboard new team members, ensuring a skilled and cohesive kitchen staff.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef and other department heads to create a cohesive and unified guest experience.

  • Effectively communicate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and the dining area.

  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients and maintain good working relationships.
