Job description
We are recruiting a pizza chef for our new restaurant , The Lakeview ,at Doubletree Templepatrick
The pizza chef will prepare, cook and present pizzas quickly and efficiently. To ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, at all times and to supervise, train and motivate others with the key aim of delivering high quality food to our customers.
About the role
To run and supervise the pizza section to required standards
Prepare and store pizza dough
preparation of pizza sauces
order supplies and keep stocks to ensure no overspend against budget
Train and support junior chefs and support them in their development
checks the quality of pizzas before they are served
resolves customer complaints
Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic, and tidy, at all times
To understand and have a working knowledge of all current Health and Safety and food safety legislation
Work safely around kitchen equipment and monitor and report any maintenance issues
Manage food wastage through correct procedures
Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training
Always adhere to all company policies and procedures
Be involved and contribute at team meetings
Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef and hotel management
What you will need
Required criteria
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- 6 months previous experience as a pizza chef
- must have the right to work in the UK
- Able to work under pressure
- food hygiene qualification
- good communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team
Desired criteria
- previous experience in an Italian restaurant
