Maintenance Stores Manager

This role will provide you with exciting challenges and opportunities within Manufacturing. You will provide excellent support to the Maintenance Team.

You will be responsible for managing the daily operation of the stores department, ensuring the correct items are available to enable all factory maintenance to be completed as planned and as per the timeframes provided. This involves learning all the key components the factories require and ensuring items are purchased and stored in accordance with company procedures. You will also be actively involved with the overall Maintenance Department.

The successful candidate will receive an onboarding plan. You can expect to receive toolbox manager training, health and safety training amongst many other training opportunities during the course of your employment.

This roles will include the following key responsibilities:

·         Complete mechanical understanding of all factories is required.

·         Managing all items within the store as per company procedure

·         Purchasing items as required and in line with factory maintenance plans.

·         Fully understand the annual maintenance plans for each factory and the role Stores must play to support this.

·         Ensuring optimum level of spare parts for each specific factory based on specific factory requirements.

·         Take ownership of stock control system to monitor stocks of spare parts.

·         Controlling receipts and issuing of materials.

·         Working to departmental procedures and standards, whilst revising these to improve departmental efficiency when required.

·         Direct involvement with the overall Maintenance Team including direct line manager and maintenance fitters.

What you will need

Required criteria

  • Previous Supervisor / Management experience in a similar setting
  • Previous Production Industry experience
  • Use of computerised stock control system
  • Administration experience
  • Mechanical experience
  • Ability to understand technical drawings
  • Driving licence
  • • Self-starter • Excellent Leadership, coaching and communication skills. • Delegation and negotiation skills
  • • Broad knowledge of production planning and organising processes • Ability to understand the product and machinery flow throughout all production processes.
  • • Working to targets and deadlines • Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting. • Problem solving abilities
  • • Very well organised person. • Great communication and interpersonal skills. • IT experience
