Sand Operative- Dungiven

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Sand Operative to join our team at our Murnees sand pit. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge of the Building Materials Industry and gain new skills by working in Sand Production.
The successful candidate will report to the Sand Production Manager.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
As an operator, duties will include activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the production facility
Operation of mobile plant including excavator, articulated dumper and loading shovel – training will be provided
Carrying out daily inspections on mobile plant, fixed plant and general site inspections and keeping accurate and proper rcords
Carrying out first line maintenance as required
Assisting in housekeeping activities as required
Extensive Health, Safety and Environmental Training will be provided
Requirements
Competent and safety conscious person
Ability to take on board new tasks and responsibilities
Ideally good mechanical knowledge and understanding
Previous machine operation highly desirable
Plant maintenance experience highly desirable
Good knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace
Working hours
Basic 39 hours plus overtime as required
Overtime will be paid after 39 hours are worked at time and a half
