Night Porter

We are currently looking for a Night Porter to join our team.
During the night shift you play a key role in ensuring the hotel runs smoothly while the rest of the world sleeps. From welcoming late-night travellers arriving through Shannon Airport to assisting early morning departures, you will help ensure our guests feel safe, comfortable and well looked after at all times.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, taking responsibility and ensuring everything is prepared for the day ahead.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome late arriving guests and assist early morning departures
Support reception with late-night check-ins, check-outs and guest enquiries
Ensure the safety and security of the hotel through regular patrols and checks
Assist with night audit reporting and maintain accurate records
Ensure the hotel is prepared for the following day’s operations
Additional Duties
Conduct fire safety walks and report any incidents or concerns
Maintain clean and presentable public areas overnight
Assist with light housekeeping support when required
Prepare meeting and function rooms for the following day
As part of a small night team, you will take pride in ensuring the hotel runs smoothly and safely while preparing everything for the day ahead.
About the role
We are looking for someone who:
Enjoys working independently and taking ownership of their shift
Has a friendly and professional approach to guest service
Good communication skills and a practical approach to solving problems
Has basic computer skills and attention to detail
Previous hospitality or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a calm night environment and taking responsibility for the smooth running of the hotel overnight.
Working Hours
Night shift position operating across 7 nights per week.
We offer flexible scheduling with both full-time and part-time night roles available, typically ranging from 2–5 shifts per week depending on availability.
