The is an important position working closely with the Financial Controller Manager.

About The Fleet

The Fleet Hotel is a wonderful boutique style Hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Café, much loved by Dubliner’s for decades. The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley’s Café which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner’s for generations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable

  • Match all invoices with purchases orders, receiving documents, packing slips, etc., ensuring that all billsrepresent authorised, legitimate purchases

  • Properly code and record expenses to the correct cost centre/general ledger account and obtainappropriate department head approvals

  • Enter all invoices/vouchers for payment processing in a timely manner

  • Reconcile vendor statements on a monthly basis and handle vendor and internal inquiries

  • Prepare and check supplier payment run and ad hoc payments as required dependent on vendorterms

  • Maintain up-to-date contact files and banking information

  • Set up new vendor accounts on Accounting system

  • Prepare A/P accrual at the month end with Financial Controller

  • Accounts Receivable / Other

  • Liaise with hotel management in monitoring the debtor ledgers

  • Follow up with the debtors on the city ledger invoices settlement

  • Perform regular lodgements reconciliations and complete Income Audit file

  • Assist with Bank and VAT reconciliation

  • Respond to Supplier/Debtor issues in a quick and efficient manner to maintain a high level of customersatisfaction and quality service.

  • Acting as cover for other roles in Finance when required

  • Assist Finance team with various ad hoc duties when they arise.

  • Participate in training programmes as required.

  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varyingschedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel which can include day, evening or weekend shifts.

Payroll

  • Review Daily tab in Time Management System for completeness and correct any errors. Clarify anyquestions on time keeping in the week with the relevant HOD.

  • Prepare export

Requirements

  • 1-2 years AP experience

  • Excellent time management skills ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Intermediate Excel

  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Experience with Procure Wizard and/or SUN is desirable but not essential
