Management Accountant

We’re looking for a detail-driven Management Accountant to join our Finance team at an exciting time of growth. You will report directly to the Financial Controller and act as their right-hand person, helping to deliver accurate and timely financial information while ensuring that our month-end close runs like clockwork.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership. Your focus will be on reporting accuracy and ensuring controls are rock-solid.

About the role
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance of bank feeds within the accounting system
Maintenance of supplier records and purchase ledger administration (including compliance)
Monitor customer accounts, chase outstanding debt, and resolve queries
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Drive month-end close to tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all financial reporting
Act as a key partner to the Financial Controller, providing insight, highlighting risks, and supporting decision-making
Strengthen and maintain financial controls across core accounting processes
Support the external audit process by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and responding to queries
Identify process improvements and contribute to system and reporting enhancements, particularly within Xero
Provide operational teams with clear, accurate financial information and resolve queries promptly
Maintenance of CAPEX register

What you will need
Required criteria
- Excellent analytical and financial reporting skills, with confident Excel capability
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across functions
- Highly organised, structured, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of CIS and subcontractors preferable
Desired criteria
- Xero or similar modern cloud accounting system experience
- Exposure to fast-growing businesses, service operations, or recurring revenue models
