The Property

PREMIER SUITES Edinburgh Fountain Court boasts a prime location in Edinburgh’s West End, near Haymarket and the Financial District. Only a twenty-minute walk to Princes Street and easily accessible by public transport. All apartments include one or two-bedroom units and all come with a fully fitted kitchen, living room, bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Each of the fully equipped kitchens includes a combi-oven, microwave, hob, fridge with icebox, laundry facilities and coffee machine. Our serviced apartments also include a contemporary living area with a flat-screen TV.

The Role

This is a full time position working 5 over 7 days including some weekend shifts. As the first person to greet our guests, the hotel receptionist role is key in setting a welcoming tone for every guest on behalf of the entire team. We are an experienced, enthusiastic team of hospitality professionals and if you join us you can expect to work in an environment where the focus is on collectively delivering the highest levels of customer care for our guests. About the role

Whats involved in the role?

  •  Greeting guests in a warm, friendly manner.

  • Checking in and out guests professionally.

  • Answering calls in a friendly, professional manner, transferring calls to correct extensions and dealing with requests.

  • Taking reservations with care, noting any special requests.

  • Informing the guests about all property facilities and those locally available to enhance their stay.

  • Ensuring that billing is completed correctly.

  • Dealing with any guest feedback, queries and suggestions quickly and efficiently.

Is this role for you? Here are the key criteria we are looking out for:

For this role it is important that you have at least one year of experience as a receptionist ideally in a hotel or serviced apartments.

Experience with the Opera system would be ideal, but isn't 100% essential as training can be provided.

Working in reception involves a lot of multi tasking - you would have to be comfortable with that and have good attention to detail.

Being fluent in English is essential for this role.

A warm and friendly, happy and caring disposition is very important.
