Roadstone is the leading manufacturer and supplier of building materials in Ireland. Roadstone’s nationwide business includes the manufacture and distribution of a wide range of construction products including concrete, aggregates, asphalt and macadam, concrete blocks and paving products.

Applications are invited for Financial Accountant to join the finance team. The person appointed will report to the Financial Accounts Team Lead and will be based at Fortunestown, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

About the role

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assist with consolidated group financial & management reporting

  • Quarterly and year end reporting

  • Completion & ownership of subsidiary accounts

  • Lead interim and year end external audit process

  • Assist in preparation of Annual Financial Statements

  • Liaise with Group Finance and other business units in respect of inter-company charges, treasury, tax, and other accounting issues.

  • Compliance (Revenue returns, CT returns and all other filings are completed and filed in accordance with legislation & timelines).

  • SOX 404 compliance

  • General ledger accounting including journal entry and account reconciliation

  • Contribute to a strong control environment within the financial team. Ensure that key controls and reconciliation processes are kept up to date.

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial information is produced in to enable the company meet established goals and objectives while ensuring statutory requirements are adhered to.

  • Completion of ad-hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required.

Qualities and Qualifications of the ideal Candidate:

  • Newly/Part-Qualified Accountant

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in financial accounts preparation

  • Exposure to the areas of corporate accounting, IFRS, taxation and SOX 404

  • Ability to interface with Group, Company and external stakeholders

  • Deadline orientated, with the ability to work to multiple tight deadlines

  • Proficient with MS word and excel

  • Experience with Oracle Financials would be an advantage
