Talent Cultivation Manager

Reporting to: Regional Operations Manager

Location: Conway Healthcare Facilities as required, Lisburn Road Head Office.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: Upper Quartile, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package

The Talent Cultivation Manager will play a pivotal role in driving strategic workforce planning, leadership, and direct mentoring initiatives to address the unique challenges within the care industry. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this role requires an initiative-taking individual with exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of workforce development strategies.

Strategic Workforce Planning

Develop and implement workforce planning strategies aligned with the Conway Group’s strategic objectives and mission statement.

Analyse current workforce trends and anticipate future needs to ensure adequate staffing levels and skillsets.

Collaborate with senior management to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance workforce efficiency and effectiveness.

Leadership and Mentoring

Provide visionary leadership to the Care Home Managers and teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Mentor and coach team members to build their capabilities and enhance their performance.

Lead by example, promoting a positive work environment and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Development of Key Performance Measures and Data Analytics

Designing and development of key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned to corporate plan.

Data Analytics Implementation to track workforce performance data effectively, providing actionable insights and trends from the data.

Performance evaluation and monitoring using qualitative and quantitative data to assess individual and team performance against KPIs.

Identification of underperformance identifying areas requiring intervention and development of early warning systems to detect patterns of underperformance and facilitate timely intercession.

Development of performance improvement strategies in collaboration with Senior Management Team and other departments

Talent Cultivation and Recruitment

Design and implement talent cultivation programs to identify, nurture, and retain high-potential employees.

Collaborate with HR to develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent to the organisation.

Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organisation.

Training and Development

Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and competencies of the workforce.

Identify training needs through regular assessments and feedback mechanisms, tailoring programs to address specific gaps.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Employee Engagement and Retention

Implement initiatives to foster employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee morale and address any concerns.

Develop and implement strategies to recognise and reward outstanding performance and promote a positive work culture.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, for example, RQIA, governing workforce management in the care industry.

Stay abreast of industry developments and best practices, updating policies and procedures as necessary to maintain compliance.

Qualifications and Skills (Essential)

Qualified Nurse with active NMC Registration

Bachelor’s degree in health and social care / related field

Proven experience in workforce development, talent management, or organisational development, preferably in the healthcare or care industry.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.

Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation.

Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a history of developing and implementing innovative workforce solutions.

Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing workforce management in the care industry.

Additional Requirement

Ability to travel between Conway Healthcare Facilities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills (Preferred)

Master's degree

5 years’ experience in organisational development, within a healthcare or care home setting

Proficiency in software applications relevant to workforce management and organisational development
